Tired of weeds invading your garden paths?
I give you here my ultra effective recipe for ecological weedkiller.
It is radical against undesirable plants in the garden:nettles, couch grass or bindweed.
Since I tested it on the slabs of my driveways, I can't do without it!
It must be said that it costs almost nothing, since it contains only 3 basic ingredients. Ideal!
And it's more respectful of nature than that good old poisonous Round'up...
How to make this homemade weed killer?
Here is the easy and quick recipe to eliminate weeds between the cobblestones :
- 4 liters of white vinegar
- 80 ml dishwashing liquid
- 400g Epsom salt
- spray bottle
1. Pour all the ingredients into the spray bottle.
2. Shake to mix well.
3 . Leave for a few minutes.
4. Spray on weeds between slabs and pavers.
5. Remember to "flood" the grass you want to get rid of.
6. Leave on all day.
And There you go ! You have now weeded the paved paths of your garden :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, right?
Weeds can't resist!
I advise you to spray this herbicide in the morning, once the dew has evaporated.
It's best to spray the herbs when the sun starts beating down.
Then leave to sit all day in direct sunlight.
The next day, the weeds are like "cooked".
All you have to do is put on a pair of gloves and take them out of the ground...
...or even simpler:you can just let them dry in the sun.
This weed killer is also effective in cracks (wall and terrace), edges or curbs.
Dishwashing liquid, due to its consistency, smothers the green part of the plant.
The acidity of white vinegar kills the plant, it is a natural herbicide.
Its effectiveness is enhanced by that of Epsom salt.
It is particularly effective on brambles and thistles after several passes.
This weed killer is not selective, be careful when spraying it.
It will kill anything it touches, even your favorite flowers.
It is only suitable for small areas. Why?
Because it acidifies the soil which is not recommended for underground life.
This is why it is used rather to weed between the slabs of the garden only.
