Why did I hire a professional painter for my living room?

It is true that with the kitchen, the living room is one of the nerve centers of the house. As for the place where you receive your friends, acquaintances and relatives, there is no question of neglecting it. All the more reason to entrust your painting work to a professional.

To avoid disappointments, hire painters!

Very convinced of her painting skills, a co-worker decided to take care of the painting of her living room on her own. She had even spent time on the web to study all the files relating to the house and the decoration, but as her work progressed, she quickly became disillusioned, because the result was not good. all the way up. Not only was the set not homogeneous.

But the worst part was that you could see unsightly brush and roller marks in several places on the walls. She put all her heart and all her energy into it. The consequence, to catch up:she was forced to call on a house painter.

As for me, I learned lessons from this very bad experience. And even if I am always the first to encourage "do it yourself", I now recommend using a service provider for large projects, especially if there is a lot to do. This decision will undoubtedly result in additional expenses. But it's better than doubling the bill.

As I will be moving into a new apartment very soon, I will start looking for a good painter because my project is to personalize the living room in my image. For this, repainting from floor to ceiling will be necessary. Besides, I already have a small idea of the colors that I will choose. However, I will only buy the pots of paint after the approval of the craftsman.

Find your artisans on the internet

Otherwise, it must be recognized that painting work is also very tiring:the pain in the back and arms is dreadful, not to mention the unpleasant or even toxic odors to bear. It's a real chore for me and I'm just happy to be free of it.

This is how I found my painter. I started by word of mouth by asking around. But then, to my great surprise after a few weeks of talking about it around me, no one really had someone to recommend me.

I also posted classified ads in shops and large DIY stores in my neighborhood, but there too, I came up empty. I was then advised to do my research on the internet. And despite my skepticism, the same day, I was already in contact with three painters. What's more, the three claimants all lived in my area. While I was giving them a summary of the work to be done, without my asking them, all three offered to come on site to make a real inventory.

Only a week after their visits, I received their detailed quotes. I am currently considering the offers. There is also a painter for whom I had a crush from the start. Nevertheless, I make him wait a little longer. My goal is to play the competition so that he revises his performance downwards.
