Enhance your garden during confinement

Enhance your garden during confinement

Following recent measures, the government has decided on the general confinement of the population. Some react very negatively to this decision, while others understand that this decision was put in place in the general interest. So certainly, this upsets all the programs, but we must try to see the good side of things.

The good weather is coming back, we are forced to stay at home, so we might as well take the opportunity to do family activities or do chores at home that we postpone each time for lack of time. One of the possibilities is to enhance your garden . It is an activity that will allow you to exert yourself, to have the pleasure of doing something by yourself and above all to admire the result in the months and years that will follow.

Plants

Take advantage of this time of confinement to clean your garden of weeds, prune plants, plant trees and prune branches. To get out of the ordinary, you could create a green wall that does not require many tools and can be installed in your kitchen or garden.

The ground

After a whole year and a season of bad weather, the ground tiles in your garden are most certainly blackened and not very pretty to see. You have two options to give your floor a facelift. You can use a pressure washer or use natural products to choose according to your type of soil. Even if the DIY stores are closed, you can buy a cleaner on the Internet and have it delivered to your home.

The fence

If the fence of your house is getting old, there will certainly be some small repairs to be planned, all with a view to enhancing your outdoor space. If the fence is metal and the fence is rusty, you may need a grinder to strip the whole thing. Prefer a grinder with a small disc diameter to be able to access the different corners (more info here).

If the fence is cement, you may need to fill in holes. Do not hesitate to prepare the support to be able to treat it correctly by filling in the missing spaces.

The creation of space

If you have some wood and some DIY materials, with a little imagination, you could, for example, make a terrace or a shed for the children. You could even use this project to involve your children and occupy them during this family time allocated to you.
