Flower season has arrived, spring is here. Nature gives us all its splendor, it makes us see all the colors. Why not take advantage of it at home, and create an entire garden of the queen of flowers, the one that is known to all and which symbolizes love, the rose. Yes, it is possible and accessible to everyone, but here are some tips to avoid making false notes in your project.
This is a very important preliminary step, indeed it will be difficult, if not impossible, for you to choose between a multitude of varieties without a minimum of knowledge.
Know from now on, therefore, that we can, first of all, globally classify the rosebush into four types:we have the climbing rosebush, the stem rosebush, the massive rosebush and finally the shrub rosebush.
Secondly, they can be classified according to their climate tolerance, some varieties tolerate the cold more than others.
To finish with this classification, we can also see their flowering season. There are three varieties:old ones that bloom only in spring, then new ones that bloom two to three times a year, and finally very rare varieties that bloom all year round.
First of all, choose a place where there is not too much sun, and which is sheltered. Plants need sun and water, but the rosebush is delicate, too much sun and water can harm it.
After all, it's all a matter of personal taste, but we still advise to avoid putting the rose garden in the middle of a small garden for example. Put it in the bottom.
When the place has been chosen, do not hesitate to make a plan of your project, in order to have an overview of your work. Where to put what?
This being done, we can now move on to the soil preparation stage, the rosebush is delicate and needs rich soil but with zero acidity. Use a mixture of organic materials and soil for this. It is best to plant in the fall, as the soil is very moist.
A very important point should be emphasized; whatever your plan, be careful not to forget to add walkways in your rose garden. It is necessary to be able to circulate, already of one, to take advantage of this space, and of two, to be able to maintain it effectively. For example, it will be more practical to prune your roses.
It is at this stage that you have to place the various pieces of furniture or pergolas of your choice.
You will now see the importance of some knowledge of rose varieties.
There are three streams of rosebush style:the classical style, well laid out and symmetrical, with furniture and pergolas; then the English style, messy.
We can never say it enough, everyone has their own tastes, on the other hand, there is still a visual harmony to respect, because that is what will strike you at first sight.
First, the order of placement of the plants according to their height, the lowest must be put forward, then behind or in the center, those larger and taller.
Then, depending on the variety, climbing roses are best at walls or pergolas. Bush roses should line the paths, massive roses are at the center of it all.
Regarding the choice of colors, it is always a matter of personal and individual taste, but always respecting visual harmony. There are colors that cannot go together at all, and too many colors kill the color.
In a small space, still prefer light colors.
