The days when rooms were bland and lifeless are long behind us. Design has logically found its place at the heart of decoration. And all the rooms in the house benefit from this evolution thanks to the admirable work of designers who are constantly innovating.
The first sketches appeared during the 1950s. Designers imposed themselves with talent to draw objects and furniture that were out of the ordinary from a visual point of view. If some could shock because of a more than surprising visual, time has taught us to accept and appreciate them.
And as soon as we talk about design, we realize that the imagination has no limit even if it means surprising by leaving no one indifferent. Whether we like a creation or not, we talk about it and that is the desired effect. It was from the 1950s that a new generation of designers emerged. The choice of materials and colors will be their trademark as well as the more than surprising shapes.
All the furniture and accessories of the house have passed through their hands. Furniture such as sofas with original visuals or curtains followed the trend of the time. The new generation looks at these creations with a surprised eye but they gave the start of audacity in the decoration.
Tastes have since evolved. If the objects are still worked in terms of appearance, the neutrality of tones and shapes is more in line with current needs. Excessive audacity has disappeared to give way to harmony. Moreover, manufacturers today do not hesitate to create entire collections. The most telling case concerns the kitchen where the accessories and crockery can be in perfect harmony with the color of the furniture.
This is how modern design entered our everyday lives. Some will find it bland, but personally I really like the current trends. Today each piece of furniture is worked as a whole. It must fit into the decor for which it is intended. To realize this, the kitchen is the perfect example. Everything is adjusted to the nearest millimeter for total agreement.
Moreover, appliance manufacturers have adapted in turn. They are able to offer devices that can fit into any style. Whether in terms of shape or color, an oven, hob or fridge-freezer is no longer a disruptive element. It contributes to finishing the appearance of the fitted kitchen.
By changing rooms and focusing on the living room, the ideas are also innovative. More and more furniture combines materials. Wood or steel and glass make a perfect couple for modern design. Everything is tuned like clockwork to fit into any environment. If your decor also has stones on the wall or old tiles, the effect can only be breathtaking.
The designers have known how to evolve with their time, they nevertheless remain artists with facets that seem inexhaustible. I really feel like they can continue to amaze us for millennia. I wouldn't be here anymore but I don't see anything that could stop them in their quest for creativity, always in search of perfection.
That's what I love about design, a sector where the limit seems to be reached with each new collection when it is pushed back a few months later. Monotony is not ready to set in until men and women have an idea that will germinate in their minds and the audacity to develop it.
