Notice to plant and flower enthusiasts, a new affair is to be entered at Lidl! The German brand will go on sale from August 16th an exotic plant which will be ideal in your interior or exterior, on a terrace or in a living room. Because, as we know, plants are important in decoration. They are THE touch of greenery that finishes the picture.
In its new catalog, for the week of August 11 to 17, Lidl unveils its mini palm tree with a height of 40 centimeters, at 6.99 euros . Three species of palm trees will be offered for sale :the Cycas native to the Nansei Islands and the Ryūkyū Islands in Japan and on the Chinese coast, the Livinstona nicknamed the fan palm thanks to its large green leaves that form circles; and the Zamioculcas palm tree , an easy-care plant which draws its originality from its slender shape and foliage.
In general, palm trees do not require much maintenance. They tolerate drought well, but on the other hand the young shoots need a minimum of care. Young palm trees installed in the ground must be watered regularly and copiously when it is very hot , but not excessively, during their first two years. In a pot, the plant should not be dried out or waterlogged. Regarding palm pruning , it is necessary to perform it at the end of spring, just at the beginning of summer, and remove the dry fins at the level of its trunk.
