Marco Zagaria is a young design student who worked in a cold room. And when you're a student, you're not rich, and heating is expensive. Especially when you have s##### electric heaters. So he came up with the idea of creating an inexpensive and simple heating system.
Egloo consists of 4 parts. A base in which we will place four photophores a grid on which we will place a first dome which will heat up to 150 degrees. Above there is a second dome which will heat it to 50 degrees. The different domes are made of terracotta, they will keep the heat and their contact surface with the air is large, so they will heat the room for a long time on a regular basis.
Of course, you should not expect to heat a gigantic room. The creator claims that we will be able to increase the temperature of a room by 2 to 3 degrees for 4 to 5 hours.
The project is being finalized and has been launched on the crowdfunding platform
Indiegogo. While asking for $30,000 to carry out his project, the young Italian has already almost recovered $100,000. You can still
participate (and receive an Egloo) for around 80 dollars or 67 euros.
