Every year it's the same thing:we look forward to the holidays , while wondering how our easy-care plants will survive 3 weeks of neglect. We then ask friends or neighbors to come and water them, but it's restrictive, some forget or water our plants too much... So when we return, we are often saddened to see that our green friends look gray or, at worse, are dead. But this year, no need to worry, since we have found the solution so that the plants do not die during our absence.
To water the plants during the holidays, we found a very simple solution to implement! For this you need:an empty bottle, its cap and a needle.
Take a 1 or 2 liter bottle and fill it with water. Poke two or three holes in the cork with the needle, close and turn the bottle upside down, pushing the cork into the ground. You don't have to see it anymore. Drill a hole in the top of the bottle to create a draft . Thus, the water will flow slowly and your plants will be watered for 5 to 15 days.
A second solution to water your plants during your absence, consists of using a wick of wool or thick string. You place the latter in a bowl filled with water and you push the second end of the string into the heart of the soil of your plant. The container must be placed high up in order to simply supply the plant with water.
