These things are full of synthetic fragrances and chemicals...
Luckily, you can easily make your own 100% natural, homemade fragrance diffuser that smells too good.
And the good news is that it's extremely fast and it lasts for weeks!
Here is how to make a reed diffuser in 2 min flat . Watch:
- diffuser bottle or small vase with a narrow opening
- rattan rods
- to make the fragrance of the perfume: use your favorite essential oils
- to make the base of the perfume , you have the choice:sweet almond oil, safflower oil or even... vodka!
1. Mix all the liquids in a small bowl to make the perfume. I used lavender essential oil and eucalyptus essential oil. For more fragrance ideas, click here.
- If you are using a carrier oil , make a mixture of 10% essential oil and 90% of your base oil.
- If you use vodka, mix 6 cl of water and 12 drops of essential oil. Then add a few drops of vodka, which will bind the essential oils to the water.
2. Pour your perfume into the vase.
3. Put the sticks in your vase.
4. Wait about 1 hour for the sticks to soak up the fragrance.
5. Turn the sticks over so that the oiled side is up.
There you go, your 100% natural stick fragrance diffuser is already ready :-)

- Choose a vase with a narrow opening. The narrower the neck of the vase, the slower the perfume evaporates. If you are using a ceramic vase, make sure the vase is glazed on the inside to prevent any leaks.
- Make your perfume in advance. At the beginning, have fun testing several mixtures of essential oils, until you find 1 or 2 flavors that make you crack. Thus, you will be able to prepare your fragrances in larger quantities and store them in airtight jars. Save time with every refill!
- Do you have any pets? Be aware that some essential oils can be harmful to dogs and cats. Learn about an essential oil before using it around your pets.
- Don't have any bamboo sticks? You can also use bamboo skewers. Just cut off the pointed ends before dipping them in your perfume.
- Choose rattan diffuser sticks. Because rattan is particularly porous, it is THE ideal material for a light and constant diffusion. And what's more, you can find it for really cheap on the Internet.
