If you are a peach lover, here is the easy recipe you need to know .
This is the cobbler. It is a delicious English dessert.
To the eye, it looks a lot like crumble. The only difference is in the composition of the dough.
The advantage of this recipe is that it is extremely easy to make.
It has few ingredients and the preparation is super simple. Watch:
- 2 peaches, cut into pieces
- 225g melted butter
- 400g caster sugar
- 250 g of flour
- 450 ml of milk
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
Traditionally, a cast iron skillet is used for cooking the crumble.
But if you don't have one, you can use a baking dish (the ideal is a rectangular dish 23 x 33 cm).
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Put the peaches in the cast iron skillet or baking dish.
3. Pour the melted butter over the peaches.
4. In a bowl, mix the sugar and flour. Then add the milk.
5. Mix until it takes on a pancake batter texture.
6. Pour the batter over the peaches and butter.
7. Put the dish in the oven between 30 and 45 min.
8. Take out the cobbler when it is golden brown and the edges are crisp.
There you go, you can now enjoy your homemade peach cobbler :-)
Be aware that if you use a cast iron pan, the cooking time is a little longer.
This recipe is ideal when it's peach season (June to September, depending on your region).
But you can also prepare your cobbler with canned peaches:1 can of 2 peaches is sufficient.
