Do you have any knives with rust on them?
Yes, even stainless steel knives can have rust spots on the blade.
This is often the case when you put them in the dishwasher.
Fortunately, there is a very simple trick to clean the rust from your knives.
The trick is to immerse the blade of the knives in a bath of lemon:
1. Have a tall glass.
2. Fill the glass with lemon juice.
3. Place the knives in the glass with the blade down.
4. Let the lemon act on the rust for 15 min.
There you go, you've removed the rust from your knives :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, right?
If the rust is not completely gone, take a sponge with washing-up liquid and rub the knife with it to make it disappear.
It is the acid contained in the lemon which makes it possible to detach the rust from the knives.
Try to avoid putting your good, expensive knives in the dishwasher, as this will ruin them.
Prefer to wash your chef's knives and kitchen knives by hand.
This trick works for all knives (including the bread knife), but also for any other cutlery such as forks or spoons.
And it also works for the knives of a silverware.
