Conventional laundry detergents are often full of chemicals. Plus, they're expensive!
You've heard of soap nuts, but you're skeptical about their effectiveness?
So, discover our opinion and arguments to help you choose.
First of all, know that soap nuts are the fruits of the Soap Tree and are widely used in India to wash delicate textiles .
The principle is therefore to replace your expensive detergent with these much more economical soap nuts. But what about the result and cleanliness?
After more than 6 months of use, I must say that the results are largely positive, but it also depends on the type of laundry you want to clean.
- For washing clothes such as T-shirts, jeans or towels that do not have big stains , this is a solution that I highly recommend.
Clothes are clean, soft , without odor or perfume and the colors do not fade too much.
- For dirtier laundry with stains, the balance is more complicated.
No question of removing stains and keeping your clothes sparkling white if you don't take a few precautions.
The 1st is to use a stain remover for large stains before putting your clothes in the washing machine, otherwise there is little chance that they will disappear...
And the 2nd is to add 3 tablespoons of baking soda to whiten the laundry and thus avoid the grayness of white laundry.
Last trick to have laundry that smells good, just add a few drops of essential oils on the nut pouch.
The results are therefore largely positive, even if it will take you longer than with conventional detergent. But the game is well worth the candle!
Another advantage of soap nuts is that they do not damage fabrics which allows you to keep your clothes longer.
For savings, soap nuts are a gold mine compared to conventional detergents.
By filling your little pouch with 5 halves of walnut shells, you can do a wash without even adding fabric softener.
And as if that weren't enough, soap nuts can also replace dishwasher tablets! A huge saving in perspective.
Have you tried soap nuts? Do you have any comments after using the soap nuts? We look forward to them.
