- dish soap
- a garden hose
- a high-pressure spray gun
1. Move the large trash can to a place where washing is not a problem. For example, an outdoor lawn is ideal.
2. Put on a good squirt of washing-up liquid at the bottom of the large bin.
3. With a garden hose equipped with a sprayer, water the inside of the trash can.
4. Leave to act for 15 min .
5. Use a push broom to scrub the inside of the trash can.
6. Tip the bin to one side to let the water drain out.
7. Rinse with water with the garden hose.
8. Let it dry in the sun all day.
9. Pass a disinfectant or pure white vinegar inside the trash.
There you go, with this simple and effective wash, no more big outdoor trash cans that smell bad in summer :-)

Use a solution of soda crystals and hot water, instead of washing up liquid.
Put 1 glass of soda crystals per liter of water.
Pour in enough mix to soak the bottom of the bin for at least 30 minutes.
Very effective in eliminating bad odors in the outdoor bin, whether plastic or stainless steel.
