10. Repeat with the other balls and tie a knot between each ball.
11. Fill the pot with water.
12. Put the bottom in it with the balls in it.
13. Boil for 45 min.
14. Remove the stocking and let it drain.
15. Dry the balls together with your towels in the dryer.
16. Remove the bottom balls:they are now all felted.
There you go, your dryer balls are ready to use :-)

- Make sure the bales are dry in step 15. If not, start a new drying cycle.
- You can use a pair of scissors to cut the bottom and remove the balls.
- Do your homemade dryer balls become less effective over time? So just boil them again. They will quickly regain their effectiveness to dry and soften the laundry again perfectly.
- To make your dryer balls scent your laundry in addition to making it soft, you can put a few drops of essential oil on the balls. Why not lavender essential oil for example?
