Fortunately, there is a simple and effective trick to clean and deodorize the hood filter.
Simply sprinkle the filter with baking soda and soak it in very hot water . Watch:

1. Detach the filter from the hood.
2. Sprinkle it generously with baking soda.
3. Run very hot water in the bathtub.
4. Immerse the filter completely in very hot water.
5. Leave to soak for at least 3 hours.
6. Rinse and dry.
7. Replace the filter.
And There you go ! The filter of your extractor hood is now nickel chrome :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, right?
And above all, you don't even need to scrub! It's still cleaner that way.
Note that this tip works for all hoods, namely:IKEA, Whirlpool, Novy, De Dietrich, Arthur Martin, Electrolux, Siemens, Candy.
If you don't have a bathtub at home, you can soak the filter in the sink in 2 times.
Since the filter is probably too big, soak it first on one side in the sink and then on the other.
Bicarbonate is a very powerful degreasing product.
It has the advantage of degreasing and deodorizing your filter full of grease at the same time.
Thanks to the very hot water, the grease comes off the hood on its own.
