Winter is here and it's time to pull out the big blankets.
But have you noticed that blankets often take on an unpleasant odor?
It's normal to stay in the cupboards for many months...
The problem is that it is not easy to remove this musty smell, given the volume of these blankets.
Fortunately, there is a little trick to deodorize a smelly blanket.
The trick is to enclose the blanket in a bag with baking soda and cornstarch . Watch:
1. Take a large trash bag type bag.
2. Put 10 tablespoons of baking soda in the bag.
3. Add 10 tablespoons of cornstarch.
4. Lock the cover in the bag.
5. Tie the bag so that it is closed as tightly as possible.
6. Let the baking soda and cornstarch act for at least 24 hours.
7. Take the cover out of the bag.
8. Shake the cover well to remove the powder.
And There you go ! The bad smells of your blanket are gone :-)
No more stinky blanket in the bed!
Easy, fast and effective, right? And above all, much cheaper than taking it to the dry cleaners!
This trick works for woolen blankets, but also duvets and winter clothes that have taken on a bad smell.
To put the cover, avoid taking a black garbage bag because they contain toxic products.
