Removing oil and grease stains is not is never obvious, regardless of the soiled surface.
And it's even worse on marble or granite surfaces.
Fortunately, my grandmother used a miraculous trick to remove grease stains from her marble kitchen counter.
This trick is the land of Sommières.
Just as it removes oil stains from your floors, it can also bring your granites and marbles back to life. Watch:
1. Sprinkle your stain(s) with Sommières earth.
2. Leave on for at least 2 or 3 hours .
3. With a broom or a vacuum cleaner, remove the soil.
And voilà, the grease stains are gone on your marble or granite surface.
Sometimes the stain is more stubborn than expected. You can then mix the soil of Sommières with turpentine :
- Prepare a pasty mixture with the 2 ingredients.
- Apply it with your gloved hands or a brush.
- Leave on between 12 and 24 hours before cleaning.
