Having your whole family over for dinner? Are you a bit lost to set the table?
Don't panic.
Here is a great guide to learn how to position your cutlery correctly. How?
It's very simple. Just follow the picture. Impossible to go wrong! Watch:
1. Place the flat plate and the soup plate in the middle . The soup plate is on the dinner plate.
2. On the left of the plate, place in order the salad fork, the meat fork, the fish fork.
3. Above the forks, put the bread dish with the butter knife.
4. Above the plate, put the dessert spoon and then the dessert fork. The cuilleron, the wide part of the spoon, is turned to the left.
The curved part is placed on the tablecloth, the hollow part being above. The pikes of the fork are turned to the right, the tips up.
5. At the top of the plate, on the right, put the water glass and then the wine glass.
6. On the right, place the cheese knife, the meat knife, the fish knife, the soup spoon and the shellfish spoon.
The sharp side of the knives is oriented towards the plate. The tablespoon is placed on the domed part of the bowl.
7. To the right of the cutlery, in line with the glasses, place the coffee cup on its saucer.
