Ikea is on all fronts at the moment:after launching into yoga equipment and making 3-piece suits inspired by its most popular bed sets, the brand is unveiling infinitely trendy collaborations that energize his image. The one with designer Virgil Abloh (who was recently appointed artistic director of Louis Vuitton) is followed by another equally astonishing one, this time with LEGO. The announcement comes directly from the brand's headquarters in Sweden, which posted a short video on its official Instagram account with images of children playing with the famous little bricks. In caption, the following text:“It’s time to release the child inside you! We partner with Lego to encourage play and creativity to take place in homes .
Does this mean that a collection of ultra colorful furniture with a sleek design will soon settle in stores? Or better yet, that it will be possible to assemble them together and develop new constructions with interchangeable parts? There, for sure, the return to childhood would be guaranteed! For the time being, we can only make assumptions since no information on the nature of the objects resulting from the collab' has been revealed, nor even on a precise release date (the British site Metro talks about 2019). Note that the brand has also announced an upcoming collaboration with Adidas, but again, the mystery remains. Definitely, Ikea has more than one trick up its blue and yellow bag... We can't wait to see the result!
