Are you a colorful type, or are you more of the basic colors? I myself am rather basic in combination with natural materials and shades, but I also like to see color in your interior. Although I still find it difficult to choose colors… Unlike Anne! It has a very floral taste that is reflected in everything she touches! With this inside view, I would like to show you how Anne uses a lot of color to not only decorate her house in style, but also to provide her veranda with color.

If you have a bit of guts you can do a lot with color. As I mentioned, I use more basic myself, but that doesn't take away from the fact that I also like to vary with color. I only do it with details in color in my interior, but you can also mix and match more. Anne paints everything herself and likes to share her inspiration with us.
Let's start with Anne's porch. Not only does she have colorful couches with rugs in her porch, but she's also added a bathtub! She does almost everything herself, looks for things in the thrift store or on the marketplace and tries to design her own house and interior with as many free materials as possible. In this way she not only creates color in her interior, but also contributes to a sustainable way of life. Nice!
She found the bath on the marketplace and then paneled it with free pallet wood. On the floor above she has painted a stencil as a bath mat. Super beautiful! If you would rather have a carpet here, you can always do that! There are plenty of rugs available, including those that can simply be left outside in all kinds of weather. With colorful cushions, curtains against the view and lanterns, she gives even more color and atmosphere to her veranda.
As you can see, color can do a lot for peace of mind. Doesn't this make you happy right away? Nice detail are the orange boxes that are hung on the wall in different colors.
Anne works a lot with chalk paint to give all her furniture a different color. Chalk paint generally works a lot easier than other types of paint, it often covers well in one go and you don't have to sand excessively. If you work with different colors of chalk paint on top of each other, you can create a very nice 'worn' effect by light sanding.
You can find this chalk paint in every hardware store, offline and online.
The curtains that Anne has used are beautiful in color. However, if you want to go back to natural tones a little bit here, you could also use a bamboo curtain to block the view. Do you want to make a bamboo curtain suitable for outside? Take a standard bamboo curtain and coat it with clear lacquer to protect it against the weather.
Anne not only uses a lot of color in the garden, but also in her interior. If you also want more color in your interior, you can choose all kinds of different shades, just like Anne. But you can also add more color by working with one or two colors and then using different shades. For example, we previously had a table with all kinds of white and gray tones mixed up. Anne's, however, is even happier 😉 .
Anne has also painted all her cupboards in a different colour. At the top you see a red sideboard and below a cupboard in beautiful blue. You do have to be a little daring if you follow Anne's example, but then you really create your own place.
pssstt… do you also want a cupboard like this with all those drawers to paint? I saw similar cabinets with the Xenos!
