Your floor is very dirty and needs a good clean ?
It's true that wood gets dirty quickly, especially when you have children at home!
Fortunately, today I am revealing to you the recipe that I have been using for years to clean and shine my wooden floor.
In addition, this recipe is effective for all types of parquet:laminate, solid, vitrified, floating, waxed, raw, old...
Here is certainly the best home cleaner to clean and shine a wooden floor without damaging it . Watch:
To clean the parquet:
- 250 ml of white vinegar
- 10 drops of lavender or eucalyptus essential oil for their antiseptic powers.
- 4 liters of hot water
- 1 bucket
To make it shine:
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1. Vacuum the parquet floor to remove dirt and dust as much as possible.
2. Mix the white vinegar, hot water and essential oil in the bucket.
3. Immerse the mop in the bucket and wring the mop well.
Note: the mop should be just damp. If it is too soaked with water, it can damage the wood.
4. Mop your floor in the direction of the wood grain to catch as much dirt as possible.
5. Clean the mop in the bucket as soon as it gets dirty.
6. When finished, hang a soft, dry cloth on a broom to thoroughly dry your floor.
7. In a container, mix olive oil and lemon juice to make your natural polish.
8. Apply the polish directly to a soft, dry cloth.
9. Hang the cloth on a broom and go over the floor to make your wooden floor shine.
10. Let dry well by opening the windows of the room.
There you go, your very dirty wooden floor is now like new :-)
