How do I start an interesting conversation?

Holding a conversation is a source of concern for many people…
…especially for those who are shy or lack self-confidence.
But the "pros" of the conversation, they know that having a stimulating conversation is not that difficult!

Here are 10 simple tips to make your conversations more interesting:
1. BE REALLY ATTENTIVE to what the person is saying. Enjoy the conversation to find out more about her or him.
2. Focus on THE POSITIVE THINGS IN LIFE. Avoid angry subjects, choose to talk about constructive things .
3. Have a real EXCHANGE of points of view and not a debate or worse an argument. Accept differences when you disagree on a topic.
4. RESPECT the person in front of you, without judging them , without criticizing her and without cutting her off. Respect their opinions and their way of seeing things.
5. HIGHLIGHT your interlocutor. Give him some compliments , but without overdoing it.
6. ACCEPT YOUR DIFFERENCES and turn the conversation around your commonalities .
7. Be authentic. Don't pretend . Do not hesitate to share your ideas with your interlocutor.
8. Practice 50-50. Don't monopolize the conversation. But at the same time, do not hesitate to express your ideas. Try to be fair in everyone's speaking time.
9. Ask CONSTRUCTIVE QUESTIONS. Ex:"What motivates you in life? What are your current projects? What prompted you to make this change?" Don't forget that you have to know how to ask relevant questions to get interesting answers .
10. Everyone must DO their part. Everyone must make concessions :do not be too critical of what the person you are talking to says or does. Always give others the benefit of the doubt.
