Are your strings, ribbons and threads all tangled up?
So, of course, you would like to store them neatly. But how?
In order to be able to use them without having to untie knots for long minutes...
My grandmother had a handy storage trick to avoid knots in strings, threads and ribbons.
For this, only one very clever object is necessary and free.
Just use corks as a spool and wind the wires around. Watch:
1. Take a wine bottle cork.
2. Make a small notch with a knife at one end of the cap.
3. Wrap yarn, ribbon or string around it.
4. When you're done, pass the end of your thread through the notch in the cap, as in the photo below, to find it quickly.
There you go, your threads, ribbons and strings are now tidy :-)
No more knots to undo!
Easy, fast and economical!
Very handy when you don't have an embroidery thread organizer.
It's a great storage idea for easy sewing, isn't it?
And to tidy up your TV cables, here is a very practical tip that will allow you to restore order behind your TV cabinet.
If you knit and have balls of yarn to store, here is a homemade organizer.
