You've had enough of those aphids attacking your plants from inside?
So here is a super effective organic treatment to get rid of these filthy beasts!
We already knew coffee grounds to fight aphids, but nettle slurry it is also a great repellent to permanently hunt this scourge.
I cut 350 grams of nettles along with the stems and leaves, then chop them and mix them with 2.5 liters of water. Then I let macerate the mixture in this water for 48 hours . Leave your mixture to ferment outside, because nettle manure smells really bad;-).
To have a good repellent to aphids, I mix my manure from time to time and I cover the bucket in which I prepare my product. After 2 days, I filter my mixture to keep only the liquid .
Before using manure, on plants, I advise you to dilute it in water . It is necessary to put 2 volumes of manure of nettles for 10 volumes of water. Above all, do not try to use pure pest control on your plants, otherwise you will burn them!
How should this treatment be applied?
Before treating your plants with nettle manure, it's a good idea to do a little test by spraying a little product on the leaf of one of your plants, to check that the product is not too concentrated.
If there are no side effects, you can fight aphids by spraying the leaves of all infected plants. With this explosive mixture, aphids will quickly regret having embedded themselves in your beautiful greenery.
We say a lot of bad things about nettle, but it's not just a stinging plant. You see, with 350 grams of nettles, we made an effective and completely FREE! aphid repellent.
Now you don't have to go to the garden center to buy insect repellent. With this clever treatment you save more than 10€ , counting the product and the gasoline used for the displacement. Well worth it, don't you think?
