  • 3. Paper towel + oil

To make a firelighter easily, don't throw away your corks!

Put alcohol at 70° in a glass jar then add the corks in it.

Close the jar and let the corks soak in alcohol for at least 2 days.

All you have to do is place 2 or 3 plugs in the charcoal and light them with a match.

2. With corks and wax

Do you have leftover candles? Perfect ! If you don't have any, take food paraffin.

Melt your candle pieces over low heat. Be careful not to boil the wax!

Take a few corks and dip them in. Collect them with tongs and let them cool.

Place them in an airtight, dry box.

When the time comes, place them in the charcoal and light them with a match.

Remember to clean your pan right away, otherwise you risk damaging it. But don't throw the leftover melted wax down your sink, sink, or toilet. This way you can clog the pipes.

It is better that you throw it in a corner of your garden.

Another solution is to prepare a few sheets of newspaper on top of each other, to have a good thickness. All you have to do is empty the rest of the wax on it. Fold the sheets and presto, throw everything in the trash.

3. Paper towel + oil

Don't have corks at home? No worries!

You definitely have paper towel and oil. Rapeseed, sunflower or olive oil will do just fine.

Take 4 sheets of paper towel and form 4 very compact balls. Pour a few drops of the oil you have chosen on it.

Put your oiled paper balls on the charcoal and light them with matches or a lighter. Simple, effective and fast!
