Did your jeans hem come undone again?
It's a great classic when you often wear the same pants.
It doesn't last very long and we have to start all over again...
Luckily, there's a pro trick for making a strong jeans hem without using a sewing machine.
The trick is to triple the stitch every 10 cm . Watch:

1. Start sewing your hem stitches as usual.
2. After 10 cm, sew three stitches on top of each other.
3. Start stitching again normally for 10 cm.
4. Then again triple the stitch.
5. Repeat until you have finished your hem.
And voila, with this technique you have sewn a very solid jeans hem by hand :-)
To make it even stronger, you can even quadruple the stitch every 10 cm.
If the fabric is thick, like jeans or a curtain, it is best to use an elastic thread rather than a cotton thread.
It is much stronger and in addition, it is almost invisible because it does not deform the fabric.
It's still better when you hem a skirt!
