The pandemic has been affecting our lives for a long time. It is therefore not surprising that we would like to close this period. We need a fresh start and with a view to climate change, sustainability, climate solutions and decluttering are central. This translates into the Fresh Start trend. In the interior, this calls for clear, tidy spaces from living room to bedroom. Materials look fresh, are practical and easy to keep clean. The basic color is white combined with various naturals. Accent colors such as yellow and blue are used to enhance the fresh look of the white. It is expected that we will increasingly work from home. Our home is therefore turning into a home hub:a flexible base that must be easy to transform into other uses such as working from home, exercising and relaxing. Within this trend you regularly see folding screens and multifunctional walls. The materials used are circular, reused and recyclable, such as leather, cotton and cork.
A second important living trend is Transparent Remedy and is a response to the disturbing times that the pandemic brings. Instead of giving up, it's time for optimism and relaxation. A touch of humor and creativity provide perspective. In this trend, the interior is almost becoming a utopian, super luxurious spa. The colors for furniture and decoration are taken from the shades of a beautiful sunset. The space is made up of exciting, pronounced pastel shades, supplemented with a touch of neon. The coloured, transparent accessories give a watery effect. The combination with round shapes provides a blessing of relaxation. The interior is given a cheerful wink by, for example, an (artificial) plant with a blue color.
