The nap and Disney, two things we all love, right?! Well, Carol L. Hladik, an American designer has found a way to bring the two together by imagining crochet blankets that take the shape of Disney princess dresses. We love the concept! And the craziest thing in any case is that she started crocheting only this year, in February, after being arrested following a foot operation. The activity in front of the TV quickly became a hobby for the young woman who started from existing patterns before creating her own models. Ah, talent…
Carol explains that she loves blankets and that she thought it was fun to design one that would look like a princess dress:it's with the yellow dress, Belle's (Beauty and the Beast ), which she started. After proposing the pattern on her Etsy shop, the young woman received a lot of positive comments and requests for other models. She therefore designed the cover-dresses of Cinderella and Aurora (La Belle au Bois Dormant ), and expanded the range of patterns in terms of available sizes (each “dress” offers baby, child and two adult sizes, at a single price of €5.75). His next challenge? A mermaid blanket. However, the designer is not affiliated with Disney, which explains why the names of the princesses do not appear in the titles of her models.
Our only regret? That Carol doesn't plan to sell her models, just the patterns... You'll have to start crocheting before the cold winter nights!
