On Friday 24 November 2017 it's that time again:it's Black Friday. The ideal day to be able to shop with high discounts both online and offline. I have a Black Friday tip especially for you:come to the Black Friday Shopping Night shopping center Kronenburg in Arnhem where you can go shopping until 11 pm.
As with many things that blow over from America, such as Halloween, Black Friday is also typically American in origin. In America, Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, an important national day in the country. Most Americans are off on that day, making it the perfect day to usher in the Christmas season. Christmas is celebrated on a grand scale in America and Christmas simply includes Christmas gifts. The retail sector has cleverly responded to this with a special discount day, or Black Friday.
The name dates back to 1965 when it was first used in Philadelphia. The name Black Friday was chosen because of the enormous traffic on the roads the day after Thanksgiving. Black Friday still stands for huge crowds in the stores, as shown in the photo below. Curious about how things are going in America:here's a video (don't be alarmed, even the police are involved!). In America it is survival of the fittest!
In 2015, the phenomenon of Black Friday spread to the Netherlands. Research by Simpler shows that interest in Black Friday in the Netherlands continues to increase. More and more (web) stores are offering special discounts to attract customers. Most attention is paid to products in the electronics industry, but white goods, toys and fashion are also offered with discounts.
Not only online stores participate in Black Friday. There are also plenty of offline stores that are following this trend and will be offering nice discounts on Friday 24 November to win over customers.
As I said before, you can shop on Friday 24 November in the Kronenburg shopping center in Arnhem. The shopping center is open until 11 pm especially for this occasion. The shops present will surprise you with high discounts and entertainment is also provided. Lange Frans will give a short performance and various dance performances will be given.
Shopping center Kronenburg is the largest indoor shopping center in Gelderland. If you arrive from the outside (certainly on the side of the buses) you would not suspect how big the shopping center behind it is. Here you will find countless shops, from large and well-known chain stores such as Xenos, Kruidvat, Big Bazar and Hema to authentic delis where you can buy cheese, nuts, sausage, chocolate, etc. You will even find two supermarkets (Aldi and AH) and the inner person will not be disappointed here either.
During the Shopping Night 2017, the Kronenburg shopping center in Arnhem will be open until 23:00 on Friday 24 November 2017. This allows you to shop to your heart's content outside normal opening hours. Ideal if you still need a nice Sinterklaas present or are looking for a nice Christmas present.
Below you will find an overview of all the shops that you will find in the Kronenburg shopping center:
My daughter really wants to go to the Black Friday Shopping Night 2017 Kronenburg shopping center, I just don't know if it will be feasible due to our busy schedule. Are you planning to go to the Shopping Night or do you choose to shop online at your leisure on Black Friday? Let me know…
