Are your curtains lacking in freshness?
If you want to give them back all their whiteness...
There is a very simple trick to bleach curtains and sheers:baking powder.
I don't know about you, but I always feel like my curtains are stained and gray.
Between the sun that yellows them, the dust that dirties them, the little hands that cling to them and so on...
They are rarely as white as one would like.
During my last move, a friend gave me an infallible trick.
You know, the silly yeast you use to make cakes!
Well, just dilute a sachet of baking powder in a glass of hot water to whiten the curtains. Watch:
1. Fill your tub with hot water.
2. Put your curtains in it to soak.
3. Dilute the yeast in a glass.
4. Pour it into the tub.
5. Stir well.
6. Leave to soak for about three quarters of an hour.
7. Stir occasionally.
8. After this time, wash your curtains in the washing machine , with your usual detergent.
There you go, your curtains have never been so naturally white :-)
No more graying curtains!
When they come out of the machine, they will be as white as when you bought them!
Now you know how to whiten curtains yellowed by the sun, nicotine and tobacco.
No need to buy a whitening product. It's much more economical that way.
Just like baking soda or lemon, yeast is a natural laundry bleach.
And so they don't wrinkle, hang them up immediately, while they're still wet.
You will avoid the ironing box!
And it works for linen curtains, polyester curtains, synthetic curtains, old sheers or terylene curtains that have turned gray.
This is a trick that you can also use to whiten all laundry such as towels, clothes and clothes:polo shirts, white t-shirts...
