It's true that it allows you to have a lot more space than a simple freezer combined with the fridge.
Its consumption is nevertheless quite high since it is around 340 kWh per year on average.
The best models can however cost less since some only consume 140 kWh (26€/year).
As with a fridge, place it in a place away from heat sources.
A very practical device for washing your plates, the dishwasher consumes an average of 250 kWh per year.
It is therefore a cost of 48 € that comes out of your pocket if you are equipped with this machine.
Nevertheless, I remind you that the dishwasher uses less water than washing by hand.
And that is not negligible.
Finally, to reduce its cost of use a little, do not run it half empty and use the eco mode.
Just to save money, don't forget that you can also make your own washing tablets.
So these everyday devices are in absolute terms not very energy-intensive, except that they remain plugged in all the time.
It is therefore necessary to count for each of them a consumption ranging between 130 to 200 kWh per year (25 to 38€).
Know that it is the television and the internet box that cost you the most.
Around 150 kWh or €30 per year.
Of course, these amounts are proportional to your uses and the type of TV model.
As I watch a lot of series, I'm almost certain that I consume more than €30 a year!
Fortunately, my LED screen consumes 2 to 3 times less than other technologies.
The computer has a consumption of just under 100 kWh per year (20€).
Again, this may differ depending on its use.
In absolute terms, the best way to save money on these devices is not complicated.
Unplug them instead of leaving them on standby.
Mind you, devices left on standby cost approximately €80 a year.
This is equivalent to leaving the equivalent of 7 light bulbs on 24/24 all year round!
Come on, let's be honest.
We all let our charger plug in even after it has finished charging the phone.
We tell ourselves that it doesn't really have an impact.
Well, let me tell you, it's quite the opposite.
Your charger continues to consume electricity even when the battery is full.
Worse; even when left plugged in without being connected, the charger consumes electricity!
So in the end it doesn't cost much (a few euros a year).
But if you multiply that by millions of French people, hello environmental impact.
Other appliances that we use on a daily basis weigh on our overall electricity bill.
Here, let's take the case of the halogen lamp. It is all the same 200 kWh per year or 38€ of expenditure.
And then, we have everything related to coffee makers, microwaves, game consoles...
Count an average consumption of 70 to 130 kWh for these types of appliances.
We can continue the list with toasters, vacuum cleaners, lamps, clock radios...
There, your average consumption ranges from 20 to 70 kWh.
Finally, I finish with the printers, fan, electric shavers...
Taken individually, their consumption is not excessive. This is less than 20 kWh on average.

The ranking of electrical appliances that consume the most is inversely proportional to their frequency of use.
In other words, it's the devices we use the least that cost us the most.

Take your internet box; it is plugged in all year round, but in the end it consumes very little.
On average, its consumption is estimated at 200 kWh (38€) per year.
While the iron, which is used much less often, consumes 260 kWh per year (50€).
You see; objects that are constantly plugged in are not necessarily the ones that cost the most electricity.
